I'm still in... and still want to be sure this will be "plug and play" (as you put it) with the early dashes.
But I'm in for sure - and pretty damn excited!

Ok, lots of questions.

1st, this is for the LATE dashes only. I hope to have a solution for the early ones later.

2nd, you do not need to remove the steering wheel to take care of this mod. Mine is an airbag car, so I know this can be done.

3rd, I will have overly detailed instructions with photos.

4th, the install will take about an hour.

5th, plug and play: Remove gauge cluster from car, remove old reflectors from mounts, set my reflectors in place with adhesive, plug connector into bulb holder and position correctly, install gauge cluster in car and enjoy.

Again, this is a 100% reversable modification. You ruin nothing in the process. (so if you sell the car, you can put the reflectors in your new one)

I will get some new photos out to you guys ASAP. This week is busy as hell for me, so pics may have to wait until this weekend.

Thanks

I guess I'll forever be longing for a dash light upgrade! When you do start in on the early dashes - let me know; you've got at least one order from me!
Good luck!

I'm telling you Perry -- white gauges with true u/v leds!! By the way...how powerful are each of your whites? I'm using 1100s for my key upgrades. I've got some battery-eating 7300s on order though!

I could not find any UV LED's when I looked before. If you know a source, let me know. They must be 5mm or less.

I am using 2500mcd 20 degree lamps.

I've got some u/vs (well, they're being sent) that are actually fairly strong. I believe they're rated around 420 or so, which I believe will be too much; I'm afraid they will be too "purple" and wash out any u/v effects. I'll take a picture tonight of my key upgrade and post it. FIFTEEN 2500s?!? Jeez, I've seen lighthouses with less power than that!

That is why I went to 9. Any less and I cannot get even light. A 45 degree 1100 would be great, but I cannot get them in the 3-5mm range.
