Post Any other NA owners have brakes that lock easily?

How are hte brakes on the 88 na 944? Do they suck or are htey half decent. Mine lock easy, not sure if it's poor brakes or poor tires or both. I have yokohama avid avs, I don't think they're anything special to say the least. My pedal is VERY firm, requires quite a bit of pressure and has almost no play between no brakes and lock up position. Is this normal? I kind of like it that qya but they are a little tough to modulate, reminds me of the formula dodge I drove, not quite that much pressure needed though.

I have no idea how I'd know. Nothing bothers me except easy lockups.
