Default Power Window problems

Hi,
'94 968

- drivers side power window works fine up & dowm
- Passenger side will go down (either drivers or passengers switch)
- Passenger side will not go up (either switch)

yesterday my son was pushing his switch up as I was trying to go down... hasn't worked right since then.

fuse is fine as expected. There's a relay (G7) could be that - or is it more likley a switch has blown (too much current etc)?

Any help appreciated...

Thanks

Try removing the switches and cleaning them with contact cleaner.

You can find used switches for about $10.

That would work Smokie but I doubt both switches would fail at once.

Both switches need to be working correctly for the system to work. Take them both out (all three actually), take them apart and clean the contacts inside. You can also "adjust" the spring clips to put a little more pressure on the contacts inside.
Check clarks for the instructions.

Thanks guys... it was the passenger side switch. Took it apart, cleaned the contacts, re-assembled & hey presto - window opens & closes. Took no more than 10 minutes. Switch cover comes off easily with a couple of screws.
