I have seen it 2 times. Thought it to be just a horrible more. why?
1. The cammera is so bouncy and crap in the opening race that I got dizzy.
2. Anyone say worst dialoge EVER! (read in comic book man's voice from simpson's)
3. Left hand drive shifts in the Skyline? not all the time but in some of the scene's.
4. Nissan skyline pedal's in the evo that doesnt have them later in the movie?
5. You can run through a gate in an evo and not have a dent.
6. 80mph + in reverse?
7. Notice some cut sences of the racing? notice any of the cars in the background going faster? because I did in one scene. (blue focus)
8. Back to the dialog. HORRIBLE!!!
9. notice in the charger that tyrese has a 5 point harness and so does the passanger untill he unbuckles him and hits the ejection seat?
10. Charger hits 120mph alot faster then that if its got 450hp... (I know..)

I loved how when there's a shot from inside the car they show the lights go by outside like it's the enterprise going into warp speed. Then they show the speedo and it's doing like a 100mph? WTF?

on the topic of rice, i have something humerous to share but i dont feel it is worth starting a thread on.
I was cruising hondastyle.com where someone is selling that phantom grip LSD kit and some kid named "sheany_91accord" asks "is this for automatic cars? when u say accelerate faster..that means more horse added? i might buy this.."
funny on a few levels, i thought so anyway.

Speaking of the "Phantom Grip" LSD, they make one for the 944. I know a guy that installed one on his race car (they're like $700 cheaper than a good LSD)... and he got exactly that: Phantom Grip. I was at California Speedway with him this weekend, and as he rounded the hairpin on to the back straight area, you could HEAR the engine revving up and down and up and down as it spun the inside right tire and got traction, then spun it, etc.... piece of junk. Oh, and when we went to install it in the first place, it had to be machined a little bit (by about 1mm) because it DIDN'T FIT! Great quality product. NOT

Isn't it silly that Mitsubishi was chosen as the "super vehicle" in this movie? Front wheel drive, 4 door sedan.. I think the director has poor taste in cars; or I'm biased, as I drive a 944?

Even though a stock one can beat Ferraris and Vipers, all you have to do is add a few stickers and an ironing board to the rear deck lid then you can reach supersonic speeds. I wish our 944s were that easy to mod.

Stan</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana,Tahoma,Helvetica">Uhh...no.
That's the Mitsubishi Evo Lancer VIII. It's in AS in scca autocross (with the 993 and Boxter S), the 951 and 944 16v are one class below it.
The Evo is a great car. It's AWD, not front, about 300whp, fairly light, has a performance suspension, etc, etc.
It's the most winning car in off road rally racing, and on the road it's pretty damn good.

And the winner tells the hero that he lost because he wasnt double clutching his upshifts.
I can't wait to see the second one. If it wasnt as stupid as the first, it wouldnt be fun!

The spyder is a FWD car, but it only has 2 doors. Maybe he meant the EVO, who knows. Either way, the director doesn't have "taste" in cars, hes displaying the street racing scene, and those cars figure predominantly among the street racers.
