"Nobody you could call at 3:00 in the morning 'cause you hear some "stuff" outside..."

I don't call anyone. Samuel Colt solved that problem for me almost 100 years ago.

Then told them since space was limited the had to sit next to the pool of **** (they called it a toilet, but trust me, it was not) for 10 hours?

Now, have you ever done *that* to someone while in a bad mood? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

For the record, I've had many tickets and what not, and all the officers have been polite. I once had a officer that was an *** because he caught me peeling out of a parking lot, but that was understandable. But thats totally different to walking up to a citizen and having a power trip for no reason.

Not funny, but I thought it a little timely.

My business associate dropped me off a couple of hours ago, then drove south.

He just called after I posted that. A state trooper rear ended someone about a mile from my house. Don't know if anyone was hurt, but massive damage, accident and traffic.

BTW, my tag line from earlier that people enjoyed.

Me and the local cops have an understanding. I have them outgunned, and they have me outmanned.

to end this before people take this waaaaaay off base , when i mean in a situation where im using discretion and cutting someone a break (as in letting them out of a ticket) if i get some witty remarks or wise *** coments from guys trying to impress girlfriends or their boys..they do pay...WITH A TICKET THAT I WAS GONNA LET THEM OUT OF!! I dont know turbite where you get this fabricating thing from. I treat everyone fairly and with compasion cause i know what its like to be in their shoes. BUT when someone wants to be a wise *** and give me a hard time cause i wanna give them a break, thats it. I have no ccrbs (civilian complaints) a good arrest record and many recomendations. Nobody goes out to get people here..but until you see the type of people who have no respect for anything where i work...dont tell me I'm being unfair, in fact i think im too damn nice. Brooklyn is no frisco.

You know whats funny. I'd say about 80% of all cops are those ******** you could not stand in high school. You know the ones, they always are being obnoxious and loud and always have a beef with somebody. At least that's how it is in my town. Every state trooper I see in my town used to be a bully or jerk in my high school. They are all dicks anyway. If it weren't for the fact that they keep the scum of the earth from going berserk I'd say do away with them. They spend more time parked in their car at the park harrasing everyone than doing any kind of police work.

jjmson20, I read your comments about pencil pushing blah blah blah. Well, I'm one of those pencil pushers and guess what I grew up in PT Barnum housing project in Bpt CT. It is one of the worst housing projects in the nation. I worked very hard and got out and now have a wonderful career and a nice Porsche. But I gotta tell ya, I've seen what you've seen my man, but I've lived it! Where as you come by after all the shooting has stopped. So before you go insulting people and spouting the high and mighty cop talk I'll just let you know that both my uncle and two of my cousins are cops. And they tell me stories of cops taking bribes, beating black people, stopping minorities for no reason, ****ing with people becuase they can, etc etc. Not all are corrupt, but alot of them are questionable in the ethics department. Not to mention that here in CT they harrass their own populace to submission. Your probably a great cop. But unfortunately your a minority here in Bridgeport.

Although I occasionally see cops parked inside parking lots, for the most part the cops in my town are out on patrol driving up and down the streets. I know that my limited experiences are not representative of the all of the police forces, but I have never experienced a cop on a power trip.

lumbergs...i agree i work with alot off ******** who probably were those dicks in highschool. I'm trying to get the point across that most of us try to be decent people by using discretion. Yea i had a pencil pushing job, but it wasnt for me. Once again got no problem with hard workers, white black green whatever. But i have zero respect for people that shoot each other over a dominos game. And as for arriving after the shooting has stopped , sorry pal but these kind of people do it right in front of us ..like i said they just dont care and thats the scary part. Wow 3 pages of this.

jjmson20, LOL. You hit the nail on the head with the dominos game reference. You have no idea how many of these losers I saw every day growing up. Luckily my father was a strict SOB who gave me the belt any time I had a desire to hang out with the trash. Point taken, I'm glad we understood each other.

And yeah, 3 pages. Go's to show you the built up feelings people have towards the police. I blame it on politicians. This country is becoming a socialist state. Now I have to wear my seatbelt or get a ticket. WTF? Gimme a break, next the politicians are gonna tell me when I can screw my girl. Don't laugh, it's on the way if the sheep mentality of Americans doesn't change.

Also let me state that the fabrication thing was not in any way directed at you, but instead at the officer in the story I posted above.

Its good to hear that I misunderstood what you said. On another note, This was not is san francisco, it was in my home town in chattanooga, tennessee. Which actually played a role in his decision making (I have shoulder length hair).

The cop has another great quote which I loved.
"This is why I love Tennessee, no god damn california hippies"

hahaha most of you guys are too funny...

Here nice and simple for you:
ALL Police officers are Humans.
ALL Humans have emotions.
Therefore ALL police officers have emotions.

"We"(as in good cops, yes there are lots of poor ones out there) ussually play it by ear and by the situation, I treat you with respect right off the bat, you dont give me the same amount of respect back or try to explain the situation in a non-hostile way, ill treat you accordingly, I try to be reactionary not pro-active. Your an *******...Im an *******. Im not gonna lick your shoes and I dont expect to have them licked back. Im sorry to those who have been rubbed the wrong way by the police but remember the ones who gave it all and give it all everyday, try and remeber the heros not the ********, becuase the ******** make my job alot harder. One rule-give respect get respect and if the cops an ******* remain polite and calmly recieve the ticket or obey the command, itll be up for discussion later whether it be in court or at a community meeting. Mouthing off only makes things worse off for both parties. all the best even if you dont necessarily agree-chris
