Arrow Need good pic of 968...

I'm looking for a good picture of the rear end of a 968. I'm looking into making a custom taillight/brakelight upgrade for my 944, and I might try to just make it look like the 968. How close are the dimensions of the two housings. Also, does anyone know of anywhere to get ANY type of 944 taillight upgrade, even if it's Altezza?

To each his own, and I appreciate the desire to update the rear end of your car - but, Please please please don't get or make Altezza tailights for your 944. The 944 is one of the only cars on the road that you don't see with those and I think Dr. Porsche would have wanted it that way.

In the end though, it is your car, so do as you see fit.

Well, thanks for the pics, and thanks for your comment. I don't want Altezza lights on the back of my car (as you said, don't want to upset Dr. Porsche), but I was just going to see if anyone knew of any kind of upgrade for the 944 series, even if it was Altezza (I wouldn't buy them). Thanks.

Yes, I've seen the painted lenses, but I don't think that's what I'm after. Of course, I don't really know what I want, but if I see it I think I'll know.

I'm with you man. I think the old square Euro lights have had a good run. I mean you see them on every other German car from the same era.
On the same token I would personally get out of my car and kick in any Altezza's if I saw them on the back of a 944.
But the next question is what would be a suitable replacement that would fit in the same demensions and still hold true to the 924/944 tail light orgional design. And as you said I wouldn't be able to say what would work, but if you saw it you'd know.

are there anny altezza lights for the 944? if there are and they have a nice smooth look, couldnt you just paint the clear part red (like the reverse part on normal 944 lights) and have a more modern looking all red taillight assembly.

Paint 'em. It really updates the look. Have a look at my p-car profile for what it looks like on my car. Lots of Rennlist members have done it.

I think altezza lights scream "rice"!!! Run Forrest, run!

If anyone on RL owns this, let me know.
