Default Where to add extra coolant temp sensor?

I would like to add a VDO coolant temperature sensor and gauge to my 86 944 Turbo. Any suggestions on a good place to access the cooling system for the sensor?

Initial thought is to cut an existing hose and install a T fitting....another thought is to use the radiator drain plug (similar to oil temperature sensor in sump drain opening).

I choose to splice the upper radiator hose. I think this is a good spot because you are basically getting the coolant at its hottest point exiting the block and going into the radiator.

Look for a 32mm adapter. You can find them on eBay and also NisSport (http://www.nissport.com/).

I added mine to the neck that the bleed screw is attached to. There's a flat surface above the bleed screw that was fairly straightforward to use.
