I have never tried this but according to the numbers the 951 (944 turbo) and the 944 85.5 n/a and up have the exact same TB sizes. My guess is the the TBP sensors are different but the housing should be 100 % the same between the two. So if someone tested that the 928 does not fit on the 944 n/a then it prob. would not fit on the 951 either. Dam there must be some VW corraco VR6 that has a bigger TBody for cheap. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

it was dark in my garage but an old 944 NA looked like 60mm and the 928 more than 80mm...2 bolt holes were the same...the other 2 were way off…there are other very obvious differences...even if the bolt holes lined up there would be some rework involved
someone here must know if there is a worthwhile benefit to a larger throttle body and what it is...not in theory but in actual experience and of course, bang for the buck

In my case there's no need to have 928 throttle body to be able to bolt on to 951 intake. I have plans to fabricate my own intake either in carbon fibre or aluminium. I have a source for 928 throttle bodies.
