dan,
the seat was destroyed before i used it to make a seat. it was out of a parts car, the leather is cracked due to water leaking in the sunroof on the left side bolster. all i did to the seat was take the tracks off, the seat is still usable, all you'd have to do is unbolt it from the plywood its on and put the tracks back on it. the rolling chair i had was also spare parts i had lying around the house. if you wanted to get really creative i'm sure you could make one that telescoped.

lol! I tried making a seat like that as well... too bad that the adapter piece between the telescoping leg part and the actual seat part wasn't quite strong enough for my fat *** -> bam! MDF just doesn't work
.. project has been on hold ever since, too lazy to go find anything more durable ..
