Sorry, i accidentily sent my post before i finished. anyway, i bought an 1987 944. needed some body work and a new clutch, but solid. that summer, i got a new Maaco paint job, clutch, and had to replace the transmission as well....that summer i worked 48 hrs a week to pay off the car bills and put money away for college. recently i brought it in to be repainted (long story) After beign at the shop for 3 weeks, it was done thursday. i worked on the car for 10 hrs thursday afternoon/night, to get it PERFECT. tonight (friday) i went to see a movie with friends. after the movie (which ended at like 1:15AM) i came to my beutiful freshly painted Metallic Graphite porsche, which i have worked my whole life for. i find that it is also freshly KEYED. I almost puked right there. i have poured my heart and soul into that car... i love how kids at school come up to me in the hall, and tell me how great their civic's are, i smile and agree that their car is awesome, politly, and i never say "hey dude, guess what, i drive a porsche!" i am humble. i work at my car, while others parents write them a check. and this is what happens. it makes me sick to think that someone could do this. i wouldnt do it to my worst enemy. and its not like they wanted my CD player for a few bucks. they intentionally wanted to ruin my night.....sorry to ramble on. after reading this, you might think i am crazy, maybe i am, but it really hit me hard tonight. i would love to see alot of replys to this as a petition against vandilism. thanks for your time.....

Puch1313, sorry to hear about your story. Life can be very unfair at times.I think that we all have had a similar experience to yours. Only the other week, my nose badge was stolen from my 951.

People just don't think, they have no idea what they are doing to others. The only way that I can describe it that their petty life are so miserable that they decide to get back at other for their own failures.

Hang in there, and keep it together, sooner or later better days will come.

Man I hate to hear that. There is trash and then there is just basic Sh.. More than likely, who ever would do that to a car that did nothing to them is just some punk *** coward. If they had a problem with you they should have come up to you. Your car didn't do anything to them. More than likely they are very sick person. Oh what the hell, just find out who did it and pay 2 crack heads to beat the day lights out of them while you rest against your car watching.

Sorry to here about that, I would hate to think what would happen to someone if I caught them doing that, and assault charge would be worth it in my opinion.
I am very weary of that happening, so I brought a BMW 525 for the wife, it cost $750, needs a bit of work but is reliable. Anyway, if I am not sure where I am going to park I take it, if it gets coined, I wouldn't even notice.
Not for everyone, but it gives you piece of mind, and a spare car!

Hi there! I know you are hurting, after all, it's YOUR baby!

But I think there's an inexpensive option to repairing it, if that will make you feel any better - because the car was JUST painted, you can have them repair it, and it will match!

Please look into it, and don't do anything against the perps - but I do think venting and playing a nice, violent video game would do the trick!

I like my latest game, Splinter Cell, on the P2; Fortunately I don't have anyone telling me not to, lol!

Seriously, at least go and get an estimate, and then set that as your goal.

I am sorry, and I wish their car would suffer a same fate, so they would understand how you feel, and maybe not do it to anyone else in the future.

Thanks, Ian <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

I'm having a great time with the P2, ever since I learned last week how to adapt it to being left handed! I've been pretty miserable until then. I played the Matrix game as a car (it's hysterical, it's a car standing up on it's wheels), and I kicked his a$$ so many times he wanted to know how I did it!

Anyway, this incident makes me a little leary about repainting my car later this month, but hey, jerks are jerks!

Good luck, Puch, you will perservere.
