Post Where to buy open-ended, steel lug nuts?

A friend suggested that I use open-ended, steel lug nuts when I take my car to the track. Is this a good idea? I believe the issue is that the lugs can get very hot, and should you need to remove a wheel at the track the light allow lug nuts can break.

If this is a good investment, can anyone suggest where to purchase the new lug nuts?

I know Pelican has 'em, and I'm sure Paragon does also. I like to use them because I don't like running the alloys off and on that much. They feel so delicate.
