Default What tire pressures should I be using?

Just want some confirmation please.

1986 944na running 225/50/15 F&R (street use only)

Manual says:

NA Tire: F&R 215/60/15 Pressure: F29 R36
Turbo Front: 205/55/16 Pressure: F36 Rear: 225/50VR16 Pressure: R36

I am presuming that I stick to the owners manual recommended F29 R36 even though I have larger than stock tires fitted.

yes, run the 29/36. tire pressure is not dependent on tire size.

although i usually like to run about 3-4 psi more for daily sporty street driving.

I have 16" Fuchs and run 205/55 16 and 225/50 16s. I run them all at 36. And 29 on the front just feels wrong. But maybe that's just because I have been doing this for 22 years...

I ran 35 pounds all around when I got new wheels/tires and noticed a decrease in overall front grip. The brakes would lock up a lot faster and the car was a lot more prone to understeer. I haven't got a chance to try a lower tire pressure yet but I think the car will grip a lot more.

As for tire pressure with 18s, you should be able to run what everyone else is running because as posted above, tire pressure isn't dependent on tire size.

If your running 225's all around, i would inflate to 36-38 all around.

Wierd, I have always liked 32 PSI. Maybe I will bump it up and see how I like it.
