Post Hood Emblem

I like the look of the black lettering on the 993 hood badge, will it fit on our 944's, or do I have to get another one with the gold lettering?

They're interchangable. I have the 993 style on my car.

Besides the old OEM style is out of production. If you see one it is very old inventory or a knockoff from Taiwan.

My 993 style was bought from a dealer and was labeled made in taiwan so are the old style at the dealer. I'll be running the 993 though.

They still won't fit properly. They were mostly made for the flat surface of the 911 hood, not the sloping nosepiece of our cars. The gasket will be a m-f to stay on, and the corner will stick out. You have to "alter" them slightly to make them fit correctly.

The gasket is a major PITA. But, my 993 badge fits fine. I gave up on it(the gasket) and took it to the body shop. Tip-heat the gasket with a heat gun/hair dryer to make it more stretchy.
