Red face Help: Coolant only drips when car is running

Another problem has arose Before I changed all of my coolant hoses, I noticed a coolant leak on the passenger side of the car. I didn't check where it was coming from prior to doing the hoses however.

Fast forward a month to this week - the coolant hoses are all replaced and the cooling system is flushed. After a couple days of driving, I didn't notice any coolant dripping. Today, however, I start the car and crawl under. I notice a leak coming from the bottom of the belt covers. I checked the coolant bleed valve, but the coolant is not leaking from there. All the other hoses seem fine. Once I turn off the motor, the leak stops.

So is this the dreaded waterpump leak? It's the updated pump and was changed out about 30k miles ago. I want to bring it to the mechanic on Monday - Formula Motorsports in LIC, NY. Anybody have feedback on them?

Who wants my car? <img src="graemlins/cussing.gif" border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" />

I know this is a real long shot, but have you replaced your reservoir/radiator cap lately? If never, you might try a new one and see what happens. Like I said, long shot but what if it works?

It's OK, I already started budgeting some money for the R&R of the waterpump. I just hope this will be the last repair in a while. I want to drive the car without having to worry about anything. So I'll bring it in on Monday...

Dualblade:

There's a shop closer to Long Island (strong island )called S & M Motorsports (no, they're not into S&M ). They do some pretty decent work and the guys are cool. $65 per hour labor rate. Their number is:
516-775-8655
2080 Lakeville Road
New Hyde Park, NY 11040
Owner is Sunny, mechanic is Peter.
