Yup, it looks mad cool in person. I feel pictures don't do justice to the conversion. I'm gonna take a few more when I get my new wheels next week. 18" Antera type 309. Sweet as hell.

Those "caps" are actually fiberglass. I have one for the drivers side if anyone might need one. I also have a rear bumper and taillights that I may be willing to part with. I had a junk cabrio I took the stuff from and I was gonna cut the rear bottom sections of the quarters off and graft them onto my 944 but I never got around to it, then I had to get the shell out of my shop. So now it would take fabrication of the whole lip and I don't know if I want to go through the trouble.

This is the section I'm talking about

On the 944 the quarter keeps going down

FXmaster,
It looks like they did a real nice job on your car, I'm real impressed. Who did it? I am in CT too in Branford, it's near New Haven.

Premire auto body in Stratford. Thanks for the kudos. Yeah, the conversion is really labor intensive. Plan on being without your car for about 8 weeks for it to be done right.

Ummmmm, I'm sorry but I am almost positive those caps are some kind of metal. I was holding them in my hand at the shop and they were pretty heavy and had numbers cast into them. maybe 968's were different but I believe that the caps are metal.

wow 8 weeks. im having a new quarter panel installed in my 944 because mine was hit should take only 2 weeks.. hope its done right.

fx: autox allows cabs without rollbars, they suggest it but they dont require it.. cars dont really flip in autox.. in de and other racing maybe.. but autox is pretty lowspeed. you should attend one.. theres one in springfield this weekend.. i would go if i had my car..
and theres some next month in long island. its fun

Yeah, the length of time is long but only because there are tons of measurements the metal worker has to take. Then he starts cutting and I was like "OH ****" Then it looks like "OH MAN, I'M DEAD" Then like 3 weeks in when he is welding a new bulkhead and I'm like "COOL" You get the idea. Can you send me some information on autox I'd like to go.
