Default Torque tube removal

Hey all,

I'm trying to pull out the torque tube, right now i have no engine and the tranny is unbolted. However i have rear end damage and I can't pull the tranny back to disconnect the torque tube bellhousing. My plan is to cut the cross member under the tube and drop both the tube and the tranny at the same time. Has anyone ever come across this? Maybe an easy solution to the problem?

Thanks

I assume you're parting out a car.
Just drop the rear suspension, once it is out of the way the transmission and torque tube will come out.

cross member under the tube? There should just be a few small brackets that go under it, sort of like mini crossmembers I suppose, but they are all very easy to remove, just a few nuts/bolts. The only snaffoo is the torsion tube, that's why everyone is saying to drop the rear suspension, and I agree with them.
