Well, if he lives here in the area of Ohio that I live in (he may since he was at the fest?), we have not had power since Sunday morning and for me my only access to the interweb is my blackberry when I can get connected to the broadband network which is spotty at best. If he lives anywhere between here and Texas weather may be causing a delay over and above the slightly long time it may have taken to ship.

That being said, I really don't like these "call-outs" on the list. I think no mater how you caveat it, it seems like you are throwing the individual under the bus. A simple "anyone know so-and-so? I'm trying to reach them" might be more appropriate.

Again, a simple "trying to reach so-and-so, can anyone help?" is "not throwing under the bus". What you wrote, really is. Re-read your statement again, especially the parts that are in bold.

I don't know where you hail from, but round here that puts him pretty much under the bus, if not completely under a tyre with the axle in his forehead.

what other recourse is there than to reach out to the rest of the community when a wrong in done? i don't think it inappropriate to ask for others to talk to their friends to right that wrong.

I had a similar situation regarding some 968 mirrors. Turned out the poor guy had a heart attack. I'm with Tifo on this and if you read carefully, I think you will see the difference between our posts.
