I think it's the front Wheel Bearing...how do I replace it?
Does anyone have the procedure that was once available on The Porsche Garage? I need to know who sells a kit that does both the inner and outer bearings. I have read the archives that talks about people baking their hubs to remove the races but there really isn't a step by step procedure that discusses what tools would be required nor what to watch for. If someone could send me a procedure, I would really appreciate it.

Just recently did mine, I used a socket large enough to catch the lip of the race from the back side and slowly tapped each one out. I attempted to use the old bearings to work the new races in, but it didn't work very well. i found a heavy duty piece of PVC pipe and used it and a plastic mallet to tap the new races in. Just make sure the hub is completely clean of grease and dirt so the race will fully and evenly seat. it was a slow process and took some pretty hard whacks. I attempted to freeze the races first but really noticed no difference. Just be patient!

I understand that the calipers have to be removed, but after that, what do I do? Does the rotor come right off or is there a nut that has to be removed? Also, does anyone sell a kit that contains the hardware to replace both inner and outer bearings? Do the bearings come with new races or do I have to perchase those seperately? After that, I guess all I need is some bearing grease!

David - the races come with the new bearings. There is no kit per sé, but all you need is the inner, outer, and seal:
inner seal - 477.405.641 (x2)
inner bearing - 999.059.090.00 (x2)
outer bearing - 999.059.089.01 (x2)
and grease...
Good Luck!
