Pacemark Tires...any good?

Pacemark Tires...any good?
My recently purchased 87 - 944 came with new Pacemark GT Radials - unidirectional. They look great, seem to hold very well although I'm into day 12 with this car so I'm still learning through experience. Pacemark seems to be more of a USA tire than Canadian...should I be trashing these things?....what was the original tire?
