Default 16" 928 wheels on my 85.5?

I was wondering what size spacers I am going to need to put my old 16" wheels that came off of my 85' 928 onto my 85.5 944. It seems that when you put the wheels on the car they are hitting the shocks,(too far in), and will need spaced out. Ideas?/suggestions/

Thanks,
Oscar

your 85.5 should have 23.3mm offset wheels, the 928 wheels are likely 65 offset. that almost 42mm to make up to get the offset back, or about 2" spacer. not worth it IMHO.

if you have late offset which is 52.3mm, then you can get by with a half inch spacer and longer studs. that's my plan for 16x7 sewer lids that i have layin around for my '87.

Yeah, but I have these laying around and if all it would cost me is the spacers it would be worth wile to do. This way the 944 and 928 will use the same wheels. Where can I get cheap spacers for this?
