Is it possible to put power seats in a car with non power seats and if so what is involved the car is an 83 and I know they had power seats back then cause the 928S had them just not sure if the 83 944 was set up for them ?

You have to run wires to the fuse panel; there should be at least one empty fuse.

Also, pull the driver's seat; it may have the connection underneath the seat. Otherwise, running it under the carpet from the side shouldn't be too difficult! You'd just solder a correct gauge of wire - see what was used for other things - then run it down the side of the door kickplate, then in front of the rails under the carpet, and cut a hole for it to come out underneath. But make sure you run the correct wire(s) that will connect correctly to the seat.

most cars had the wiring already run. Even if it did not come with power seats. The plugs are just sitting under the carpet below your seat.

Remove the drivers seat and pull back the carpet. Odds are there are plugs for electric seats. I believe that's because it was cheaper to manufacture 1 type of interior wire loom.
