I have been having this problem for sometime now. There is a loud squeaking noise from my front wiper assembly. The noise is intermitent but random (atleast I have not figured out a reasonable explanation for its occurance yet). I am pretty sure it is not coming from the motor itself but most likely from the gear mechanism following it. Has anyone else had similar problem? I am going to try to get access to the motor (after removing the plastic cover, wipers etc.) to have a closer look.

Start cleaning and re-greasing the joints in the mechanism, this includes the shafts that connect to the wiper arms. Use lithium based (normally white) or molycote (graphite, normally black) grease.
In case you deside to open the gear:
- mark position of the output lever relative to the cover
- mark the position of the cover relative to the body
- mark position of the (worm) gear relative to the cover once you have taken this cover off, AND BEFOR you remove the lever.
Inside you will find an track with contact that feeds the motor to its rest position.
If you are not very carefull during re-assembly, the wiper blades might stop somewhere in the middle.
It is an hell of an trial & error job to get this right again
