Default Need to replace the "Oil Pressure Sender"...

...can it be done without removing anything? Getting some weird readings on the gauge, doesn't want to drop below 4bar as it should. When I rev it, the pressure seems to want to hang at 4-5 bar. Clark's states possible faulty sender. It's the original unit...for $40 and some time I thought it was worth while.

Yup. 5 minute job (once the car is up).

Well, you have to remove two wires and the sender itself.

Get a "crows foot" wrench to remove it. A HELLOFA lot easier then trying to get a regular wrench in there!!

You need a 15/16" or 24mm crows foot or a stubby wrench will work also but takes some effort to loosen an old stubborn sender with the stubby wrench.

Sender is the blue arrow, this is the oil filter housing on the passenger side of the engine, below the headers.

just try wiggling the wires first, i too had weird readings until i accidentally slapped the wires during post oil change clean-up.

i know what you all are thinking... i was surprised too.
