My dad bought my car for me at the Hershey swap meet last April originally as a potential track car. $4,500 for an 88' 944S with 87k and great maintenance is insane and just too good to pass up. I fell in love with the car and became willing to do whatever it took to have it. I agreed to pay for all my insurance which I think is MORE than fair for now since I'm still waiting to get my liscense in March. Then I'll get a better job and be able to get good money and make all my insurance payments and have some fun tuning it.

Bottom line - I'd MUCH RATHER have something that I can proudly say that I've put blood and sweat into than have a new car handed to me (that I'd probably wreck anyway). 944's are some of the safest cars out there when treated right. I respect my car and want to learn everything I can about it and have alot of safe fun having the privelage to drive a Porsche as a first car. This forum has taught me ALOT about 944's. Everything I need I can find here <img src="graemlins/wave.gif" border="0" alt="[byebye]" />
