oxygen sensor
The 83 944 I just bought has a brand new, aftermarket exhaust on it. Unfortunately the idiot that put it on just discarded the oxygen sensor...
How bad is it to run for a while with no sensor?
I can smell the exhaust...a bit rich i think.
Any suggestions to get it in there?
How about drilling a hole and sealing it in with JB Weld?

You're running rich - that's for sure.
You'll loose fuel economy, and loose all monitoring for air/fuel ratios, meaning that getting the O2 sensor in there is a good idea.
JC Whittney used to sell O2 sensor bungs that you can weld on - or any muffler shop should be able to help you.
HTH!

My O2 sensor just went - my mechanic found that ordering direct from Bosche was half the price of ordering through the local Porsche dealer - it's the same sensor!
