Let me erase what I was going to put......and hopefully let this topic die on a PORSCHE forum.
The only PC I want to hear about here is.......
Porsche Cars!

To add support for blk924s's post, I too am Asian and don't mind 'rice' or 'ricer' one bit! Although I actually don't like or eat rice, I use the terms fittingly for these cars and even refer to some of my friends as 'ricers', some of whom happen to be Asian as well.
I think part of the confusion and perhaps the whole sensitivity may have been from the early days of 'rice' cars seen with mainly Asian drivers, at least in the NorCal San Jose area. But nowadays, it's mainly the white folks who are trying to catch up in the fad.
Makes me wonder what those Asian guys are up to next....?

Yeah, so i'm still stumped about that all. Have you all ever seen the other things that germans build? Everything is straight, perfectly. Was it a German who designed nurnbergring??? I'm going to go with no.
Anyway, we call the german cars over here crouts... affectionally of course (we felt left out!). They do things here with 3 series bmw's and Opels (and occasionally Porsches
) that you all do back in the states with hondas and toyotas and acuras and whatever else you have there. I hope I'm not offending anyone with CROUT. No, my wife and family don't care . You have to watch out about the whole pollock thing though .
You're asian Danno, I was thinking more floridian.

No offense bud, but someone with the handle "944GASM" shouldnt be making statements about political correctness.
In addition, Ill stop refering to them as rice when they stop acting like rice. Since thats never going to happen, flame on!

Wait, wait, I want to have my turn to make some inflammatory comments. And I am in a really bad mood since my whole firm just took a 15% pay cut, so watch the f**k out!!!
I really think blk924s hit the nail on the head with his comment about not being thin skinned. Right on brother! The funny thing is it seems to be white folks that are the first to get bent out of shape when somebody uses an objectionable term or phrase.
Now, speaking as a white man, I do find some popular imagery rather distasteful (and this may go off tangent a bit). The Washington Redskins and Chief Wahoo (Cleveland Indians mascot) come to mind. The thing is, would a team owner name their team after something they didn't respect or admire in some way? No! You don't seem teams out there called the West Virginia Lazy White Trash do you? Of course not.
What puzzles me about team names and ethnic or national stereotypes is that nobody ever complains about the white mascots for the University of Notre Dame or the Boston Celtic. As a third generation Irishman I should be offended, I mean look at 'em, they're caricatures of punchy drunk red-nosed Irish immigrants from the 1800's. Is that PC? Hell no! Am I offended? No, because it really, in the long run, doesn't make a f'ing difference to anybody's life, you know what I mean. It isn't causing people to run out and start race riots. It isn't causing people to hate Irish or put signs up in windows that say "Irish Need Not Apply" like they did in the 1800's. In other words, it isn't a threat to anybody's life and limb.
Am I making any sense? I guess it is simple and sufficient enough to repeat what blk924s said about not being thin skinned. Unless the usage of the term is clearly threatening, why waste the time calling attention to it?

Stop acting like rice? So your pissed because these guys stand in water and produce grain?
I like you guys, you make me laugh!
You create some bizarre stereotype that you can't collectively agree on what the definition is and attach it to some silly word to it, then you defend it with religious furor.
I tried not to post, I really did!

Wait, I thought of something else. You know who are really scarey? ******** who think that because they don't say the N word (in public) means they aren't racist. Heaven forbid they let their kids go to school with anybody of color, or worse yet a black family move into their neighborhood.
Those are the people who scare me.
