If I was going to paint my 951... what color would work with a burgundy interior?

I love the Graphite Metallic, and the Garnet Red both. Also the 'very dark blue'.
I am becoming very concerned about the door jambs, engine bay, and so forth... if I change colors, it will either add considerable expense to paint it all, or look odd to leave it DiamanteBleu while the rest of the car is Red, Graphite, or whatever...
More thinking needed...

What about a 2 tone? Starting dark blue-almost black at the bottom, fading gradually to the DiamanteBleu Metallic on the roof.
Could anybody Photoshop this?

Three Wheelin'
Thaddeus,
A quick comment that I didn't think about earlier.
In that 931 I had, it had been repainted guards from it's original tu-tone silver. The owner didn't paint the engine bay, and it looked horrid with the hood open.
Although Garnet would look great, and Joe's car is gorgeous, I'll have to vote for your factory color instead, because in order to get it right you'd spend an arm and a leg.
Sigh.

While I agree with this you should stick with your factory color unless you are prepared to spend $6000 on a full repaint.

My vote is for the color of my car, although I don't know the offical name for it. Will someone please look at my profile pics and tell me what it is called? Thanks.

My 84 is Gemini Grey Metallic (I think yours is too por951turbo - it's paint code LZ7Z if you look at the options sticker under the carpet in back). I think this would look great with Burgandy.
However, I have to agree with the folks saying to keep it Diamantebleu. The color combo looks nice as is and it won't cost you several thousand dollars more to change the color.
just my $.02
