Default Instrument & parking lights won't turn on

I need help!! The other night, my instrument lights went out. I replaced the fuse & then it shorted out a couple hours later. I replaced it with an even higher amp fuse, but it still blew. I checked & replaced all the fuses, still my instrument lights won't illuminate. Also, none of my parking lights go on. My headlights pop-up but won't go back down. What could be the problem???

I have the EXACT same problem, my fuse for the dash lights keep blowing and thats the same circuit for the glovebox light, ashtray light, and liscense plate lights. I have checked all the wiring and still havnt found where it is shorting, but I'm pretty positive it is behind the center console. Its just one of those projects I haven't had time for.

you shouldn't go for a fuse with a higher ampere rating. fuses are meant to blow out and cut the circuit before everything fries. a higher rated fuse will just allow more current to get pumped into the electrics, which could lead to even bigger problems.

sounds like the headlight switch is bad. Search and you'll find it's an easy fix.

Yeah, if you put a bigger fuse in and it still blows, you need a penny or a paperclip.

JOKING.
