Post Leather Cleaner

Hi all,

Thanks to all this wet weather and muddy dog paws my 951's seats are really a mess.

What is a really good leather cleaner that will really get the dirt out?
Lexol just aint cutting it.

My seats are what Porsche calls Light Gray (tan?)

Thanks!

I just got my Leatherique stuff last night. Gonna wait till the next sunny day to try it out (probably next year at this rate)!

Leatherique.com Check it out. Supposedly makes your leather like new. I have Dove Grey (aka, almost white) leather in the BMW that needs some cleaning that Lexol can't provide (I'm really not impressed with Lexol).

Lexol is the only thing that I will ever use on leather. It was origianlly developed for and still used on saddles. Not very many places carry it, but I would highly recommend it.

They have both a cleaner and conditioner.

I have used Lexol, Griots, Leatherique etc. and the clear winner is Leatherique. It is by far the best cleaner for leather. They also make custom dyes for scuffed seats.

You will not go wrong with Leatherique.

Let me get this right - you let ....a dog....in your Porsche? Shame!...can't you just take the dog for a walk? I'm even fussy about the PEOPLE I let in mine! Seriously though, if you're carrying an animal in your car, it's sensible to use a cover of some kind, rather than cleaning up afterwards!

Rob,

My dog is always in that car, it's my daily driver and I like to take him with me. I am really gonna shock ya now, I even smoke CIGARS in it! Muhahaha!!! I enjoy the car, my dog and a smoke Life is good!

Now my 911 does have a mat in the back for the dog and thats a no smoking car.
Now dont take that as if I think the 911 is better than my beloved 951, it's just the 951 is the daily driver.

When I get to dog-sit my old canine (In custody at the ex's.. )she rides in the front seat, paws and head out the sunroof. I also smoke 'gars in my car. Hell it's MINE and I could care less- It probably wont ever be sold. If it does- Febreeze.. works wonders on smell removal.

Hey Marc - that looks just like my GSP (Rex) - who travels in our Suby Forester GT Turbo, not the 951 (or the 944 NA, for that matter). Nice choice of hound!
