Well, how bout the second weekend in October. The only thing I am a bit worried about is the tourist coming up to see the leaves.
There are to options for teh gtg.
1. Short drive with some fun roads probably around 45 minutes total, tech or just plain old gtg.
2. Very long drive (already know the route) with some very nice roads and a very short gtg. This is a good 100 + mile run and it will wear you out (just did it yesterday) but it is a blast.
I am leaning towards option 1.
Also guys throw up some dates that are good for you. I have heard from several 1st weekend is good and bad, so lets try to find one that works for everyone. Just an FYI, wives and s o 's are welcome, my wife would love to have some company.
P.S. Doug, the short run is the road that you wanted to drive.

October 18th is Euro Fest here at the BMW factory in Spartanburg so that isn't the best day since I usually go to that. Maybe some other rennlisters would like to enter the car show? Usually there is a weak showing of 944's.
I am free after next weekend, so what about even mid to late September? My girlfriend would normally be up for coming along but will be away for the next several weeks.

I am almost assuredly going to the EAF. Don't really have a show-worthy 944, and I thought it was sweden-oriented this year? I am definitely signing up for all of the driving events.

Hi Guys,
Doug...contratulations on your wedding!
I'll be up in Morganton,NC on Oct. 24/25 running the Ridge to Bridge Marathon so Saturday, Oct. 25th would be perfect for me. I'll most likely be finished around noon....
I'd be happy to lend a hand doing belts but I most likely won't be doing mine until next year.
I"ll keep an eye on this thread...BTW, not to hijack this thread... but is anyone going to the AutoFair at Lowe's this Sunday? I will be there.

JOE! good to see you!! Sorry I missed the fair as I WAS signed up. I just got back into town from my wedding reception at 3:00pm today (Sun) and was obviously too late. I woulda taken the 944 trophy FTW!! I'm still in for a drive, as soon as my fuel rail shows up. I dont need to be leaking fuel all over!!
