Does it hurt a turbo to do this ??

What does it change? You adjust air with your foot. It could adjust spark timing and fuel. All 944s already run pretty retarted timing (to pass emissions without a smog pump), so it couldn't adjust it much. It can't change a/f (air/fuel) ratios or it will violate emission regulations (lean=too much NoX, rich=too much CO). What does that leave for it to change?
