People should top making excuses for this guy,if he took your money he should send your wheels right away.

I'd be nervous about sending money to anyone outside of e-bay, and only then if they have good feedback.

How many posts does this guy have? Has he been around for long? There's an old rule in business: the longer you wait, the less likely you are to receive what you're owed. I'd escalate this now.

I would send a certified snail mail and express his and your concern about not receiving the items. In fairness, it may have been mailed, and not received yet, or lost. But I find calls, or e-mails a bit informal when you need to get something done, and may need to have a future tracking record.

I am curious to know who this is, because i am going through the same situation with the exact same time frame. mine is for some 951 side skirts, and the check has been cashed, and i have no parts. ive emailed, and he finally responded 10 days ago and said they were sent, but i haven't received a thing. im getting pissed. mine was a member to, as far as i know. ive seen him selling other things on here.

If nothing else, there's no reason the guy shouldn't email/call.

Uh.well...that was what I was thinking... ...It would be nice to know who it is...to save others from this pitfall...and maybe he will be forthcoming with product or refund.Maybe a good thing would be to post an open post to him on Rennlist..to his member name...give him a chance to reply. That might tell the tale....

Wheels can be a pain to ship, sometimes you can't fit them all in your car if you have a small trunk and you need to make two trips unless you use the wife's grocery getter. Also some people don't want to pay for packaging so they want to get some of their own boxes (best way is to stop in at a large tire chain and ask for some of the boxes that they get wheels in which they just throw away, I found that they even usually have a nice net with a rubber band around the bottom that you put over the face of the wheel to keep them from getting scratched) Third of all I would like to add that depending on how far you are from the shipping place, if you have a full time job, it can be difficult to get there during business hours. I also found that Fedex was usually much cheaper on shipping larger items like that. None of this is an excuse for not sending them for a month but perhaps when you call and he gives you one of these reasons, it is because they are true. I have had a hard time getting wheels with tires shipped out before but I never promised them next day and I certainly had them out within a week.

Hopefully the seller will read this and get on the stick to ship out the wheels. You've been more than fair by not outing him so far.

After a couple of more days post his name and location and maybe someone will visit him to see if he indeed is legit.

I had a similar situation with a non-member who had advertised in the classifieds here.....had my money ( for a sunroof bag) for like a month and had not sent anything....took my hounding them with email and phone ( I found their # on an add on another pcar site! )...and then asking why I could not stop by to pick up ( they were only about an hour away)...then they finally told me they could not 'find' the bag...and sent my $ back.....never again....ebay or regular, known guys here...nobody else unless I can go pick it up!

Let us know if it works out...and if not, PLEASE post his name!

Thats too bad rennlist members are not doing what they need to do when they sell an item because it only makes it harder on other rennlist members who are fair when selling items. Just like J Berk he will never do a transaction via the mail again and I'm sure many other feel the sameway who have been burned. This is hurting the potential rennlist parts customers to other rennlist sellers because they are afraid people are getting burned. Maybe somekind of feedback is in order for rennlist users when they sell and item or purchase an item?

Would be nice for a "Rennlist Member" Escrow set up. For a small fee of course.

Send the money to someone you know you can trust. When you get the item he/she forwards the money.

I am much more skeptical then before the bad transaction that I had...but he was NOT a rennlist member...just somebody who'd posted an add in the non-member classifieds...I guess I'd have more warm fuzzies if it was a member...although that's obviously no guarantee either...!

Rennlist Escrow is an interesting idea!...but feedback would probably be enough! ( plenty of paypal type of services out there already )
