Smile opening pic 944, what wheels?

When I open rennlist, there's a indian red 944 turbo with a little boy beside it (some guys have all the luck, my dad drove a renault fuego when I was his age)

What kind of wheels does that car have, and what do they cost? (used) I believe they are 17" but I'm not sure. Would they fit my "85 1/2 N/A? I have 15" fuchs, polished rims, black center. What are those worth?

they are "turbo twists" or "cup3".
officially they are called 993 Technology

You can put them under, but it will require spacers due the fact, that they are newer offset, and your car has older.

Thanks for the quick reply, do you have any idea what cup3 rims cost (preferably used), and what my fuchs are worth? (they are in perfect condition)

Probably the purist disagree, but I'm not to fond of the fuchs, a friend of mine has a guards red 944 with 15" inch phonedails and I think they suit the care more. If the cup3 rims are over budget I'm thinking of buying 16" phonedails. I can get an almost perfect set including tires for 450$. (or is that to much)

The 17" replicas are available in both offsets, so if you can find a set in early offset you can just bolt them on. Factory 18" twists use late offset, so with those you'll need spacers.

Van Zweeden seems to have them (though they only list the late offset version, dunno if they have the early offset too), quite expensive though. I think around 500€ for a used set would be about right, if they're in good condition...

450$ for a good set of 16" phone dials with tires sounds like an OK price to me. 15" Fuchs, no idea how much they're worth... 16" 951 ones are much more sought after if I'm not entirely mistaken.

My car my son. They are in fact 17" Tech. Twists from Tire Rack. Rims were $1,000 then you need tires. I chose the after market style b/c I wasn't tracking the car and the added weight didn't concern me. If I do get worried about weight I'll throw the FUCHS back on.

If you do buy new rims do yourself a favor and get the full cloisonne caps as they look better IMHO.

Below is a generic pic off the internet of Tech. Twists.
