Question Swapping CV/Axles from Side-to-Side

I'm trying to chase down that "clunk" sound I get when a gear is engaged, so the CV joints will be checked.

If I want to "swap" the axles, do I:

a) Flip each axle around and install them on the side they were originally on?

b) Swap the RR axle to the LR and vice-versa, while keeping the same rotating orientation?

c) A combo of a and b?

Thanks.

You want them to rotate in the opposite direction, so just flip them.

Waaait a minute, I thought it was combination of a nd b? Actually, I guess it doesn't matter which side it's on, though, huh...
