Loss of power to instruments
While driving home today, I lost all power to my instrument cluster gauges and the AC. The car continued to run, the blinkers, headlights, fan, radio, interior lights, etc. all continued to work. Once home, I checked the fuses, which were fine. I turned the car on again, nothing...and then the gauges and AC were back.
Is this a sign of a troubled ignition switch (my second guess after a fuse) or something else?
Thanks.
Terry

I had the same problem twice. Both times, I just pulled, cleaned off, and pushed back in all the fuses and relays. There may be a more permanent solution, but this has worked for me. I'm at 152k miles.

I think Ice Shark's a good guy to ask. Also Sid "check the f'ing grounds" Viscous. Here's another thread on the topic.
