Thumbs down Ack what's wrong with my paint!?

The paint on my 944 has these marks as if something was sprayed on it but never came off. I just recently washed it with sonax shampoo and some p21 s total auto wash (which I used liberally because it was my first time washing the car since I owned it, tons of bugs and road grime) and I thought the p21 s caused it at first but it didn't show up in a spot where i used the p21s total auto wash on the rear bumper. It may have been like that when I bought it. The spray marks are all over the place but on the hood it's kind of like something was poured over it (hood is the worst). I don't have the motivation to take care of this car like i should because it's all sratched up and I don't have a garage for it, it's my daily driver but these marks are awful. There are some high resolution photos bellow, please check them out and tell me what you think. What doyou think this is and how should I try to remove it? The images are very large and it's hard to see what i'm talking about if you don't fit them to your screen. Thanks.

Oh crap I forgot to post the link

I don't think it's from a previous paint or anything like that

Honestly I have no idea what they heck that is, but I will say go get a good product like zymoles HD clense (it cleans a lot of contaninants out) a good polish and a good wax. Also a clay bar couldn't hurt.

so if you have the time,
cleans
clay bar
polish
polish again if nessasary
wax

It solves a lot of problems and lets you know what exatly you are working with.

Here's an even better picture of it

Is polish like 3m imperial hand glaze? I have that and I have p21s paint cleanser. Should I use one of those? What's the clay bar for?

Does anyone have any opinion on whether or not it's possible p21s total auto wash could do this to my car?

I've seen something like this once before. In that case the damage was done by brake fluid, which does a nasty number on paint finishes. Another possibility is Armour All or one of the other tire and rubber cleaners. If the PO sprayed the car with one of those products, it could have cause the damage your seeing.

Take it to a detail shop and have them buff the **** out. Looks nasty but your paint has the potential to look REALLY nice!

When I was in school at OU, I was downstream of the power plant in town. If the wind was right, and cold enough to "DEW", I would get almost the same thing on my White Talon. Although you could not see it as bad, here is the fix:

Go to NAPA and get some 3M Machiene glaze and an orbital waxer/buffer. Use a dime size amount and spread it around with a little pressure with the buffer. It will haze and eventually go away. You add more here and there, but you will see where it has been applied right when you buff over it, and it is light in color, not dark. Clean it all up with a little Dawn in some water, and then wax it up.

Takes about 5 hours to do the car, and will cost you about $50. ($20 if you have a buffer).

Works every time.
