Post Fender decal install----Dan P?

I am planning on installing the "turbo" front fender decal next weekend and was wondering if anyone has any tips. I plan on washing the car--obviously-- and getting a small squeegie for air bubbLes. However, should I wet down the fender, put the decal down, then squeegie it(like a model airplane decal) do something else?? I have never installed a decal this big and don't want to screw it up. I will also post some before and after shots.

My body shop guy adds one drop of dishwashing soap in a full sprey bottle of water then spreys both the site the decal is getting put on and the decal then uses a good rubber squeegy to remove the liquid from under the decal starting from the center out. I'v seen him do this it works like a charm. Good luck

You might try something to remove the wax from the area before applying the decal. Perhaps someone wiser than I can recommend a specific product. Then apply wax back to the area a few days after the decal has been applied.

You should use a tar and wax remover after washing the car, then use a soap and water solution (not too much soap though). If you are careful when applying you won't have any air bubbles, but if you do you can and use the squeegie.

Thanks for the tips guys. Jon, that "Club Sport" decal does look sharp. Is that a decal from the 911 CS?
