Post So, I'm strolling through Ebay, and...

I'm getting an eye-opening experience.

There's some crazy stuff out there... and this is just the car parts:

Here's the auction

I think this'd be a great picture for a caption contest... something like: "Bob and Danny are walking through the rain forests adjacent to the Saulk River, when this prehistoric Porsche bone appears in the low brush. They are cautious not to touch it, as they are known to have mystical forces - evil even - similar to that of the buried remains of several sets of snap-ring pliers found near Deception Pass in Northwest Washington."

Really... all I want is a tranny... but there's SO much stuff on there

Very artistic. Looks like he called in a specialist to do the raindrop effect. I guess you saw the S2 LSD trannie that's about to expire? How about that load of NOS dealer's stock starting at $20K? Interesting, but I've been there before.

Some time ago, and I could kick myself for not downloading the pictures there was a 356 that was literaly rusted in half! They had built a wooden frame under it so it could be moved around. No kidding no floor pans at all. Oh yea and it had bids on it.

Speaking of Ebay, it seems like someone is always looking for these.

That grass looks familiar!!
I bought a CC brain on ebay, from someone who photographed it in grass/weeds like that. Had the word "tested" written on it. Asked if it was tested on a car, answer was yes. Paid for Fed Ex shipping, waited a week , no package. Emailed, Emailed ,Emailed, finally got a response. Was told (after 10 days) that it was being delivered by USPS. Got letter 2 1/2 weeks later saying "sorry we tested it again before shipping it out and it wasn't working". Money was refunded. Email sounded like this operation is run by a 12 year old kid..said "send money to my biz". Use caution with this jokester

That's hilarious. A good botanist could probably track him down to within a few hundred miles based on that "lawn".

How 'bout, "It was a dark and stormy night. As he began the long walk home from his dead 944 thru the cold rain and gathering darkness, the wolves in the forest along the road began to howl. Soon, Bob (1) stumbled over a familiar object on the shoulder of the road that perhaps explained his unpleasant situation."

(1) "Bob" as in Road & Track's last page caption character, as in "By rewiring the house himself, Bob saved enough money to buy a Buick."

Jim, guess ya had to be there....

Wow.

Maybe if I "cross-drill" my axle, I could vent the water vapor as I drive.

Cross-drilling, what an idea, or maybe slotted is better. Wow, think of all that weight that could be saved too.... Hmmmmm.

Ok, Water944T. We all know you came up with your Rennlist screen name after seeing this fine example on ebay.
