Great Weekend! Thanks Rennlisters
Tool care of some issues with the 944 this weekend.
1) Dim lights on the instrument cluster - Cleaned the three plastic covers on the cluster with adhesive remover/thinner. Covered the plastic with the reflective duct tape. Wow! I can now see my gauges after sunset.
2) Installed SFR short shift kit - Simple install, but now getting the vibrations coming through the shifter. Will be tackling that soon. This is an awesome upgrade. Quicker shifts and looks cool to boot.
3) Fixed the turn signal reset - Used the electrical tape around the extension on the steering wheel. I forgot who posted this fix, but it worked like a champ. The turn signal resets all the time. Nice!
Thanks to all listers who have posted their experiences on repairing these issues. Items one and three would not be possible without you guys.
These were small annoyances, but it is great now that their taken care of.
