Post Rebuild update 2 (Pictures)

Here's where I'm at today, excuse the picture quality (I'm using a digital video camera to take still pictures):

The cylinders, before mating surfaces were cleaned, smoothened.

Another look at the cylinder walls (thankfull no damage there, pistons are looking good after some cleaning too).

During the cleaning process:

Done, and small material has been blown off the cylinders, cylinderwalls coated with some thin oil:

Cylinder head back from the machine shop (3 angle performance job) smoothened on the intake side, new valves, etc.

New gasket on (why would I post a picture of this?)

Head bolted down... As she sits for tonight:

I probably won't be doing too much work as I'm still moving to another house, and helping my parents move out of the country in two days. My summer classes also started today...

As always questions comments, etc. welcome.

Thumbs up

Sweet. Is the oil pan back on with the new rod bearings? If so you're almost there!

Ahmet, so what were the conditions that lead you to need new valves, did you bend 1, were they out of spec in some way.
Unless they clashed with a piston, I haven't seen any valves that needed replacing, in all the heads I've redone...
Anyways, looks good so far......

The car is resting on it's own suspension! Yes, I'm not that far from being done. I need to figure out what I'm doing to the headers, then the intake manifold, belts seals, and it's almost out of the shop (Then will come headlights, ignition wiring, sunroof, and it'll be complete for this round and I will start driving it daily).

I bent 5 valves due to valve float (the valves DID hit the pistons). I had explained this in an earlier post.
