Default Anyone interested in a 944S2,968 turbo system?

Since we have been building alot of parts for 968 turbocharger conversions lately, I figured it might be a great alternative for some of you guys thinking about going forced induction.Basically,we can put together a package that allows you to turbocharge your 968 16 valve engine safely(assuming the engine is in good shape,etc...).It would be a low boost(6-7 psi) system that would come with everything needed to make the conversion.Just thought I would throw it out there.Price is expected to be about $7500(but when you see the parts list you will understand why).Expected gains are right on par with the supercharger system of 315-320WHP.

SFR 3" 304SS downpipe
SFR 3" 304SS testpipe
SFR 3" 304SS S2 or 968 turbo cat-back
SFR 2 piece 304SS crossover pipe
SFR 304SS wastegate inlet pipe
Tial 38mm Wastegate(.5 bar) with adaptors
944T wastegate dump pipe
SFR stage 1 turbocharger(50-57trim comp,stage 3, 8cm)
Stainless hardware package
944t engine mount, oil feed line and oil drain line with fittings
SFR front mount intercooler and aluminum piping package(for 968)
944T intercooler and SFR piping package(for S2)
Bosch bypass valve
SFR 3" intake pipe with K&N air filter
SFR 968/S2 Intake manifold (core required)
480cc injectors
Super-AFC fuel controller(for 968)
SFR stage 1 MAF covnersion(for S2)

As you can see there is an extensive list of parts fneeded or this conversion.

Without a price and expected gains I would not expect meaningful responses.

OK I see you edited. Not bad.

How do the dynos compare from your 968 turbo vs your supercharged system?

There are no dynos yet. This is a feeler. We have supplied lots of customers with parts and pieces to do the conversion so we figured we might put together a bolt-on package as an option to the supercharger system.

Sounds like the right price point -- not that I would be up for it right now.

Before somebody asks -- would this keep AC?

Sorry man, I love your car but have to disagree on this comment. Everything I've picked up from Tim is FIRST rate quality and priced very fair. I'm very interested in the parts list Tim and I don't even own a 968 yet.

Never mind, Thats a very impressive parts list. I stand corrected, That REALLY is everything you would need, Even a MAF conversion and intercooler. Tim sorry sorry for my comment, I just figured it wouldnt be AS complete as it is.

nice...would it include fuel/timing maps for the MAF kit or S-AFC controller? Or would dyno time be required?

If I had a 968, I'd be interested. For now I don't, so I'll just say that I hope you drum up lots of interest and, inspired by the great success of the 968 turbo kit, eventually offer a turbo alternative for N/A cars (I for one would be interested in a kit that would be comparable in performance/price/complexity to your stage 1 supercharger but which would allow me to keep the A/C)

The parts are available at anytime and have been available for many years from us. Just nobody knew about it except for the people that called and askd about doing a conversion. It needs to be fine tuned by the end user though as we only supply a good basemap to get the car running.
