I installed a remote starter on my "other" car this weekend, and, even though the company "claims" that the range is 400 feet, it is no where near that. Does anyone have any tricks on increasing the range on these things? Can i splice the antenna wire on the module and make the wire longer or something? Would that even make a difference?
Any and all ideas are welcome.

Don't try to extend the ant. - instead just make sure it is layed out to its full length, and not coiled up stuffed under the carpet or something. Double check the batteries in your transmitter, even if the unit is new it may have been on the shelf for a while. If you still need more range, place the transmitter on your chin when you press the button - trust me - works with any alarm too.
