Post CV Joint

My Left CV Joint(s) in my 951 have started to fail (about 90K Miles).

I have a few questions.

First, I have an important meeting to go to this week, which will require a couple hundred miles of hgihway driving. The noise just appeared yesterday - should I be okay for the trip?

Unfortunately, there is no way for me to get them fixed by then.

On the same note, will simply adding grease (provided it's low) help them to last longer after the noise has appeared?

Thanks,
Clint Law

[quote] will simply adding grease (provided it's low) help them to last longer after the noise has appeared?

No
It may silence it for a while but it is worn out.
There is quite some milage left before the CV starts a life of its own, breaks out and start detroying things.
Keep the pace down and dont put too much load on it.
