Newbie Advice
I have been contemplating adding a second car to alleviate miles on my lease vehicle, and to have a fun, summer car (I live in MI, summer lasts about 20 minutes).
I first looked at early 80's 911's but realized that initial cost plus maintenance is more than I want to spend ($8,000-$14,000). I have started looking at the 951. Good performance, low entry cost, and relatively affordable maintenance. As I said, this car will be driven during the summer, maybe 5,000 - 7,500 miles per year.
I am looking for any advice for a first-time buyer. What should I be looking for? Do I buy a higher mileage car that has had all of the upgrades or a low mileage car that still is mostly stock? What specific maintenance-related questions should I be asking? What is a typical price range? Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance.
