Talking OT- The BOV symphony(long)

Coolest thing i've ever heard. Yesterday(Fri.)my friends and I walked outside during work for a smoke, when we noticed six MR2 turbos(very tricked out) lined up in our parking lot.

We stood there and checked them out, wondering why they were here, cause they all had plates from different states.

Not long after that we saw them, thirty or so(we lost count) MR2's coming down the hi-way in front of my work. They took up all three lanes and were slowing down for the light, then it happened, the light turned green and they were off.

A few secs. later, the coolest sound ever over 30 BOV's goin off.Man it sent chills up my spine, awesome, just awesome...

Come to find out the international MR2 club is in town for Mem. weekend and the cars we saw were on there way to the local dragstrip for an MR2 only night.

The cars I looked at this morning's concours were incredible.I'm definetly not a ricer but the guys had there gear set up proper.Sorry I don't have any pics since my three 944's keep my in the poorhouse and I can't afford a digicam but I hope to borrow one tomorrow and get a few.

Gotta get some sleep for tomorrows auto-x.Hopefully some of these guys will be there.

-As he does doughnut after doughnut in a parking lot just waiting for the trans to fall out... @ 14psi he can stay even with me..i cant wait for the upgrades to start when we both graduate..i will win i swear!

My business partner and I wanted to go to that MR2 meet. Last year, they rented out a track there in Alabama and had themselves a road race. They did a little drag racing on another track, show-n-shine, etc.

Anyways, I really like MR2s. If I wasn't so hell bent on getting a 951, I'd be driving an MR2 Turbo right now... <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" /> <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />

Well I never said anything about them being ricers, I just said I wasn't.

The track they rented is Talledega(Nascar Winston 500), where our PCA has their DE.

A buddy of mine just bought an MR2 turbo.. it seems like a nice car, and we'll both be taking the cars to the auto-x.
