Talking OT: $4 digital multitester at Harbor Freight!

Okay, $3.97. You can't beat that with a stick.

It does 10 amps DC, 1kvdc, 750vac, 2Mohm, and has a transistor tester and removable test leads. It even comes with a battery installed!

It is, of course, a cheap POS -- it reads half an ohm with the probes touching, but at four bucks, it's fine for the emergency toolkit. <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />

This is item #30756. Great stocking stuffer material....

Harbor Freight is awesome! I just got the following:

-22 pc metric and SAE open end wrench set in a vinyl roll

-7 pc flare nut wrench set in a cloth roll

-30 pc screwdriver set

-60 pc generic "Dremel" rotary power tool with hard case

-10 pc T-Handle Allen wrenches with holder

Total cost was a very reasonable $66 and that included sales tax and their "handling" fee. The quality of their stuff is actually pretty decent with many items having lifetime warranties.

I love that meter. Costs less than the replacement batteries for my other meter and works just as well. I bought 2 of them.
