Default How do you remove the blower?

On an early 944. The thing's dead...I searched but didn't find anyone with instructions. Don't see anything on clarks garage either.

I removed the cover already. I do see 3 hex bolts....but looks like they'd be secured underneath somewhere.....how do you get at it?

It comes out from the top. Since you already have the cover off, take a look at the blower itself. There is a ballast resistor bolted to the top of it in the middle towards the engine compartment. Pull that bolt. I can't remember, but I think that is the only bolt securing it.

You might want to pull the 4 screws that surround the shroud, so you can loosen the loosen the duct work, for some extra wiggle room.

Its easy. Just remove the cover and then one bolt on the resistor and then wiggle.

My blower wont work either and I replaced it with 2 junkyards ones, so im thinking I couldnt have gotten 2 bad ones. Must be some sort of electrical problem then
