944 N/A Bodykits

Hey Shorty....
Looks like you are new to the 944. Welcome! <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />
You have found a great car that can provide you many happy days of driving one of the best handling cars in the world.
2 Points of advice
1) 944 NA's dont make much power, never have and never will unless you spend $3,000+ so it is not really worth worrying about. I know because I race one. They do how ever handle great and you will want to keep the weight down.
2) 944 don't take well to body kits. These are few and far between and mostly are for weight reduction for use in racing or are very subtle. Honestly they don't take well to ricer mods. Most other 944 owners and list memembers despise rice.
Just the facts. Best think you can do is to keep the motor stock, body stock and find a local autocross venue. From there you can learn where best to spent your money. In the 944 is more about the corners rather than show or straight line speed.
Anybody can go fast in straight line.. Its the turns that separate the men from the boys!

Here are the best I've found from Germany.

I personally don't like the idea of wild fiberglass kits like the Honda crowd finds so appealing.. But I do think that a couple subtle changes to the 944 N/A are not a bad thing.
I like the Fiberworks nose.. I think the driving lights up with the parking lights look good. It also reduces front end weight a bit by getting rid of the bumper.
Other folks like the 968 hatch/spoiler on these early cars.. Does that make it rice because it was changed from stock?
To me, a 944 is a personal driving experience. I plan on replacing the nose of my N/A with the Fiberworks part, adding a shorter throw shifter and getting sport seats.
I certainly won't look at my car at that point and think "rice".. I'll just enjoy it for what it is..a really fun way to get back and forth.
