Default Quick DME question

Can someone please enlighten me, I have an 84 NA and have a Late model AFM and DME, is it a worthwhile swap or am i just wasting time? My NA's DME is chipped already and has an Autothority Socket installed.... So is it worthwhile to do the swap from the early to late set up or not?
thanks guys

Won't buy you anything, might even go slower with the later stock chip.

I'm planning on running the autothority chip in the "new" DME, and the benefit would be the socket is there and I would have a stock chip, and spare setup.... why do you think the car would be slower with the stock Late chip installed, Slower in comparison to the Autothority chip or slower then a stock NA set up and stock chip?
