Post '89 S2 torsion bar sizes?

I'm being told my car ('89 S2) w/ M030 spec front struts/springs (otherwise stock) would benefit from bigger torsion bars (mostly for stock category autocross). The guy at the dealer said that M030 spec torsion bars are 25.5mm, is that correct and what is stock size? Also, I believe I have the 26.8mm (stock) front sway bar, would the 25.5mm torsion bars work well w/ those Konis and that sway bar? Opinions?

Yes, the 944S2 M030 torsion bars were 25.5mm (175 lbs/in) and front springs were approximately 160 lbs/in (you can't use the springs without the M030 Konis)

The stock torsion bar for the S2 is 24.5mm (149 lbs/in).

The stock sways are 26.8mm front, 16mm rear.

The only direct-fit aftermarket spring for the S2 is from H&R, and is progressive from 195-235 lbs/in.

Good Luck!
